Reporting to the UI Director, the UI Designer is in charge of the ergonomic interface elements designed specifically for a video game (UI/UX). In order to make the game fun to play for the users, he is required to conceptualize and design the game interface elements in collaboration with game designers and other stakeholders.

What will fill your days:

  • Improve and modify interfaces to provide an optimal experience
  • Conceptualize and realize interfaces;
  • Animate some interface elements;
  • Develop navigation diagrams (flowcharts);
  • Ensure the design of interactions and the development of complex systems such as an inventory or a character creation process;
  • Document or explain the operation of these processes to the production team or the client.

Your profile looks like this:

  • College education in graphic design, visual arts, multimedia or any other relevant discipline;
  • Experience in interface design for video or web games, an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Unreal game engine;
  • Knowledge of creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator);
  • Knowledge of user/machine behavior (ergonomics);
  • Knowledge of the technical constraints of video game production and its different creation steps;
  • Work experience on a released project or to improve an existing project will be considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the video game industry;
  • Bilingual (French/English);

  • Good knowledge of the Unreal game engine
  • Understanding of user/machine behavior (ergonomics);
  • A passion for design, layout, and communication;
  • Ability to solve complex navigation issues;
  • Superior leadership skills, ability to rally and motivate;
  • Ability to make your expertise shine with our clients, partners and employees so as to be recognized as an expert in your field;
  • Proficient with creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD);
  • Grasp of the technical limitations specific to the production of video game;
  • Strong ability to analyze, synthesize, explain and communicate ideas;
  • Strong communication skills in English and French;
