Summer Internship: Experience Design Team

WongDoody is looking for a Summer 2024 intern to join the Experience Design team. The chosen candidate would gain exposure to clients across industries and projects for both employees and consumers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to explore and participate in our human-centric design process, creating innovative experiences that people love.

The role is perfect for a thorough individual with a curious mindset. You must be comfortable collaborating with designers, strategists, and developers, attending workshops, and delivering fast-paced UX thinking in unrefined prototypes (often in Figma). Our ideal candidate thrives on solving complex challenges and is energized by creating products that simply make life better.

What you’ll do:

• Create experiences that are useful to users and promote our client's businesses
• Conduct competitive research, UX explorations, and strategic analysis
• Identify key ideas to drive projects and how to implement them in multiple channels
• Provide deliverables, including prototypes, proof of concept documents, wireframes, user flows, use cases, and user scenarios
• Live our core values
• Report to the studio’s intern manager, who’ll act as a mentor and ensure quality/best practices are in line with WongDoody standards

What you’ve got:

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline
• Excitement for working at leading digital agencies as an experience designer
• Portfolio of conceptual projects that demonstrate strategic, conceptual, and creative thinking
• Organized and self-starting
• Understands interactive experiences, channels, and design principles
• Has strong presentation and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Keynote
• Very organized with high attention to detail
• A sense of humor!

This is a full-time, 10-week, paid internship starting in June 2024. The rate is $25/hour. Our ideal candidate will be local to New York, NY, to take advantage of our hybrid work environment in our offices at One World Trade Center.
