Summer Intern - UX UI

Zymo Research is seeking a talented and motivated UX/UI Intern to join our marketing team. As a UX/UI Intern, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling email and landing page templates that enhance the user journey and drive conversions. Your primary project will involve building a landing page for our Citations Program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user experience design, user interface design, and digital marketing while contributing to Zymo Research's marketing initiatives.This summer internship is Full-time and is full onsite based in Tustin, CA. The summer internship is 10 weeks long, with potential for extension.Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• User Experience (UX) Design:

• Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to understand user needs, goals, and pain points to inform the design of email and landing page templates.
• Conduct user research, including interviews and surveys, to gather insights and feedback for optimizing user journeys and conversion rates.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.

• User Interface (UI) Design:

• Design visually appealing and intuitive email and landing page templates that align with Zymo Research's brand identity and marketing goals.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, incorporating best practices in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Collaborate with the marketing team and developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of the UI designs across different platforms and devices.

• Landing Page Design and Development:

• Create the design and develop the landing page for Zymo Research's Citations Program, focusing on user engagement and conversion optimization.
• Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to create persuasive copy and compelling visuals that communicate the value proposition effectively.
• Work with web developers to implement landing page designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and optimal page load times.
  

Education And Work Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in UX/UI design, graphic design, web development, or a related field.
• Work experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices, with a focus on user journeys and conversion optimization.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Sketch, InVision, or Figma.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email template and landing page development.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility considerations.
• Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the life sciences or biotechnology industry is a plus.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $20/hour at the time of posting.
