Summer Design Intern

New York based art and design company, RM Labs, is looking for a creative, in-house Design Intern. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to create visually appealing designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Organizational and communication skills are key to succeed in this role. The Design Intern will work directly with the architectural and graphic design leads each day to assist in production. You will be responsible for developing creative concepts, creating mockups, and producing high-quality graphics and layouts for an upcoming major project. Students in current university design programs are encouraged to apply for this position. This can be either a part-time of full-time position depending on the candidate. Requirements:

• Must be able to reliably commute to Lower Manhattan (10013) each work day.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Highly organized with outstanding communication skills.
• Familiar with industry-leading software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite)
• Portfolio link with relevant design projects
• Up-to-date resume

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative concepts and ideas for projects.
• Work with clients to understand their needs and develop design solutions.
• Complete necessary tasks given by team leads and management.
• Create prototypes and mock-ups to demonstrate design concepts.
• Collaborate with other designers to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest software in design and technology.
• Understand user experience principles and be ready to apply them to design projects.

Schedule:

• Part time or Full time
• M-F 10am-6pm

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
