What you’ll be doing
At Simplii Financial, we provide personalized, simple, yet flexible digital experiences for our clients, and accelerate revenue growth for OUR bank. Imagine a role where you are responsible for building banking experiences for a digital bank! You will be a part of the Simplii Digital Strategy and Client Experience team within Simplii Financial. In this role you'll use a variety of user research techniques in collaboration with other members of the User Research Team, UX Designers and Product Owners to help improve Simplii’s existing products. Furthermore, you will assist in recording and summarizing research findings and presenting the analysis in compelling formats that are easy to understand and action.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Important information
- You are enrolled in a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, UX Design, Interaction Design, Anthropology, or a related field, with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.

How you’ll succeed
- User Research and Testing- Assist and perform generative, evaluative and causal user research using a variety of methods in collaboration with other user researchers (one-on-one interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, analytics analysis).
- Data Analysis, Interpretation and Presentation - Help analyze qualitative interview data using coding and quantitative survey results using statistical methods to surface recommendations. You will help in the planning, execution, analysis and presentation of studies to various stakeholders.
- Empathy Building - Interpret research findings and explain them in a way that's easy to understand to help build empathy.
- Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills will be put to use to allow successful collaboration while working remotely in a team.
- Time Management - Opportunity to help manage multiple concurrent objectives, project, groups and activities, while prioritizing and allocating time effectively.

- You can demonstrate experience in or knowledge of Excel and surveying methods. Any knowledge of using a UX platform such as Figma, Maze, User Interviews or Survey Monkey would be considered an asset.
