Overview:Atlantic Health System is seeking a Product UX UI Designer at Morristown, NJ. As a Product UX/UI designer you will get to collaborate with progressive healthcare practitioners and technology leaders at AHS. Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience of UX practices and tools and a desire to move into the product management realm.

As a hands-on UX designer, you will be able to roll your sleeves up and work in an agile way. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams during execution. You’ll have a desire to get out in the world and really understand our users’ needs and be the voice of the users, patients, and Atlantic Health team.


DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW


Atlantic Health System (AHS) is accelerating a transition to a business and operating model oriented towards the changing demands of the healthcare industry. Success in this new model will require an expanded focus on the consumer and digital engagements with a full-service digital experience. Our department is responsible for designing and executing on a digital roadmap that serves as a foundation for innovation and meets the patient where they are.

To drive this expanded focus on digital innovation AHS must be able to select and integrate the best solutions from the market, as well as build customized experiences that form a unified platform. This digital platform will serve as an operating system for AHS, powering a consumer digital front door, telehealth, at-home care, access and navigation workflows, and many other important engagements to deliver a best-in-class consumer experience.

We seek to deeply understand our consumer, clinical, and operational users and challenges and opportunities that they face. We will look to find innovation solutions to hard problems that ultimately create frictionless and efficient healthcare experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • User Research: Ability to actively listen to users and put yourself in their shoes. Understand the fundamental needs and problem space. Document and inventory consumer and clinician workflows and ideate how to optimize them. Collaborate with other teams heavily.
  • Domain Knowledge: Follow the market and the latest and greatest technologies being used to engage consumers and clinicians and build great products. Know the relevant UX and UI toolsets and best practices. Be able to differentiate ‘hype’ from ‘game changer.’
  • Technical Skills: Be able to craft compelling and innovative user experiences, mockups, and consumer grade UI designs. Work with solution engineering teams.
  • Product Development: Be the voice of the user, seeking to understand patients and Atlantic team needs.

Qualifications:

  • User Interface design, consumer visual design using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision etc.
  • Product Information Architecture and how it relates to User Interface design.
  • Product Management practices for prioritization, user research, & story writing
  • Persona Development, understanding and categorizing our user
  • "Jobs to be done" mapping to understand workflows

Education

  • Bachelor's/Equivalent degree preferred or an equivalent of relevant experience and education

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of data analytics, user event tracking
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and mobile first web technical skills
  • Experience at a Startup in the technology and/or healthcare space
  • Prior healthcare consumer experience
  • Product management experience
  • Interest/Knowledge/Passion in utilizing Generative AI to improve workflows.
