Our summer internship program runs from 6/5-8/18. This is a paid opportunity at $18/hour for up to 40 hrs/week.

* Please note that for this specific internship, you must be located on the East Coast or willing and able to work EST hours.

What you'll be doing:

As a Product / UX Design Intern, you get to learn the end-to-end process of project delivery and the associated tools involved, while gaining a firm grasp of design fundamentals. You’ll develop a meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for the visual quality of an interface through this internship.

As an Intern, you will help the PulsePoint Design Team design the user experience for new and existing B2B products, with opportunities to be involved in some typical design activities:

• Wireframing
• Visual design
• Creation of interactive prototypes
• Usability evaluation and design review
• Maintaining design systems and working with the implementation guidelines

Based on your experience and proficiency, we will pick a real-world feature for you to design. It can be as simple as a modification to an existing screen, as complex as a brand new workflow that involves a number of new screens. Results of this work may or may not be used in the real product in the future, but, unlike the day-to-day work, this project will offer the chance to engage in the following activities:

• Brainstorming and whiteboarding
• Competitive analyses and market research
• Customer journey mapping
• User interviews
• Usability testing
• Concept presentation

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students are all welcome to apply; must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or be a recent graduate
• Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design majors preferred but not required
• Desire to pursue a career in Product Design or UX Design
• Familiarity with Sketch or Figma software is a must
• A plus if you have a portfolio of designed projects, real or fictional
