Product UI/UX Intern

You won't be going for coffee runs for the office in this Product UI / UX website design internship with Boats Group! As a Boats Group Intern, you will get to contribute to real product UI/UX strategy and development, conduct pivotable research and usability testing, and have your voice heard by the rest of the team, including the leaders in UI / UX, Design, Product, and Technology. Interns here work hard, move fast and learn constantly as they cycle through various design specializations.
We love having new UI/UX designers and developers on the team to share their energy, creativity, and ideas. Bring your great ideas and fresh prospective and we will provide you with an excellent baseline of knowledge for all UI / UX Design and Development areas, including design, testing, implementation, research, usability studies, wireframes, product strategy sessions, and prototyping.
What you will be doing:
- As an intern, you will participate regularly in all scrum design ceremonies and brainstorming sessions as well as team activities for the development of new product and feature ideas.
- You will lend support to the design UI UX team by:
- Design of low and high-fidelity mockups to support upcoming product launches
- Design of working prototypes from wireframes for product teams
- Participate in usability sessions to understand consumer behavior to improve conversion through UI / UX changes on the websites
- Working closely with the design and development teams through A/B Testing deliveries.
- Designing wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished UI mocks
- Influence new iconography and test these new designs
- You will take on designing a mweb landing page to drive conversion for a specific channel of traffic, (paid, free, etc.) and present it to the design principles
- You'll take on the competitive research of other online marketplaces and determine what best practices could transition to our marketplaces and then design a mockup of these ideas to present to the design principles
- As an intern, you'll be responsible for conducting research on North America and Global localization of UI / UX with the intent to drive lead conversion on all of our pages and see them implemented
- You'll follow the lead of the UI / UX team to improve page speed by optimization of CSS elements
What you should have:
- Must be familiar with UI UX principles and pursuing a degree in UI UX design, Interactive Design, Web Design, Graphic / Digital Design, or a related field
- Strong interest in user interface design and behavior
- Understanding and some utilization with Figma or the ability to quickly learn Figma!
- Possession of a creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
