As our team expands, we are seeking to bring on board a Product Designer who can help take our products to the next level and create transformative experiences for our customers.
Job Overview:
As a Product Designer, you will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively with the Product Management and Engineering teams to develop intuitive user experiences (UX) and interfaces (UI) for our customers in the professional and informal caregiving industry. You will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and can effectively work with others to deeply understand end-user needs, thoughtfully solve pain points, identify strategic opportunities, and design engaging, functional, and memorable interactions. Our ideal candidate will have substantial experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on immersive reality (XR/VR) and game design. As a contract-to-hire consultant, your transition to full-time employment with salaried compensation will be considered after a 3-6 month trial period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ideas and concepts into effective wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
- Design and develop captivating and user-friendly WebXR and VR interactive experiences and gameplay for our users.
- Work with the Engineering team to perform quality assurance testing and confirm the accurate implementation of designs on various devices and platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and make data-driven recommendations that improve our users’ experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong portfolio of past design work.
- Experience in UX design, UI design, product design, and/or game design.
- Some programming experience in JavaScript and three.js.
- Familiarity with designing for XR and VR.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with user research and testing methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of the principles and best practices of user-centered design and accessibility standards (e.g., W3C, universal design, multi-lingual support).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate design decisions, ask questions, and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills.

Benefits:
- Compensation: $40-$65/hour
- Contract-to-Hire (3-6 months) with a possible opportunity for full-time employment.
