BIMM is booming, so we're looking for a Product Designer to join our team! This is a contract position, starting ASAP and running until December 20, 2024. With the potential to convert to permanent.

Who we're looking for

As a hybrid Product Designer (UI/UX), you'll bring an understanding and appreciation of user-centered design principles while also being able to create clean, visually consistent designs for our clients. Your skillset allows you to work within a Design System that includes working with brand and product usage guidelines. You have strong communication skills that allow you to discuss and collaborate on implementation strategies with PMs, Developers, and QA, while also presenting your designs to client stakeholders with sound rationale

Responsibilities

  • Implement new ideas and designs in collaboration with designers and developers using user-centered design principles and web/mobile usability standards
  • Produce wireframes, user workflows, functional prototypes, and hi-res mockups to
  • demonstrate your solutions
  • Manage design requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Collaborate with user testing teams on various platforms including iOS and Android
  • Present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences at various levels of our organization

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate experience from at least one large-scale project, a product you designed
  • Strong portfolio of work
  • Knowledge of best practices in both UX and UI, with an understanding and appreciation of standard patterns, concepts, and processes
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile development with high-level capabilities Ability to iterate and collaborate based on constructive design review
  • Proven ability to challenge design and fight for the user
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Figma for design and FigJam for planning
  • Experience with Design Systems
  • Ability to work and document Sprint-based work in Jira and Confluence

Nice to haves

  • Ability to estimate and scope work on a sprinted Agile delivery schedule
  • Experience with front-end and back-end component restrictions
  • Experience or active interest in the automotive space
