Product Designer

Gelenk Networks Inc.(DBA GenVoice Telecom) is an emerging fast-growing Telecom company based in Toronto. GenVoice possesses several mobile app products, such as textrapp.com. Over 10 million minutes and 60 million messages are transmitted on our cloud-based telecommunication platform every month. We are proud to bring new technologies and ideas to traditional business communication methods.

Responsibilities: As a UI/UX designer, you’ll significantly impact how our product works and feels. You will lead design projects across our software platforms: web, Android, and iOS. You will conduct user/competitive research, define task flows and data hierarchy, and design wireframes through to high-fidelity UI mock-ups. You will work closely with our developers, product managers, and QA to ensure the successful implementation of the design.

*It will be a massive advantage if you are bilingual in English and Chinese.

Requirements:

• Designing engaging and responsive landing pages
• Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Strong graphic design skills, with a good understanding of typography, intuitive layouts, and palate development.
• Strong ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path, edge, and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs.
• Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.

Qualifications:

• Experience designing for Android, and iOS
• Experience in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or XD
• 2+ year experience in User Experience Designers & Researchers (preferably in a digital environment)
• 1+ year experience in big tech companies (similar to BAT/TMD, etc.)
• Close experience with small-to-midsize businesses
• Degree or Diploma in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or a related field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
