Product Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Designer to work closely with our product managers, engineers, customers and the wider Smartwyre team in the US and Europe to define and execute our product strategy and roadmap.

Since we launched in 2019, we have secured a premier set of initial customers. Over the next 12-24 months, we have an aggressive product enhancement effort planned. You will play a key role in addressing these customers’ needs and in new customer acquisition.

The role of product designer to work cross-functionally across the product management, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver design value throughout the product life cycle. Your number one job is to tackle user problems and contribute to the overall product strategy.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and implement a robust product design process that builds value for Smartwyre and our customers
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative user research
• Create beautiful, simple, and intuitive experiences, defining the needs of the customers
• Work with engineers and product managers to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for the products
• Cooperate with Product and Engineering to supervise the user experience of a product from conception until launch
• Perform design reviews and confidently communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Explore concepts, narrow to the best solution. Use the best formats and fidelities for the work
• Create and test hypotheses
• Create customer journey maps, user flows, and wireframes to inform design decisions
• Effectively use prototyping to drive product value
• Take new ideas from concepts to implementation
• Cooperate with engineers and product managers to understand engineering complexity define MVPs, and ensure product excellence through launch and iteration
• Identify future opportunities, working as a thought partner to the product managers
• Lead in design reviews and share your work regularly with company leadership
• Ship, measure and improve designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be someone who has experience of with B2B SaaS products along with knowledge and interest in product strategy and vision. If you have experience of B2B market that is early in digital adoption tat would be a plus!

You are an outcome focused, self-starter obsessed with customer success and with a passion for product design. You will be ready to hit the ground running and be very adaptable.

We need someone who has strong leadership skills and has the ability to achieve results through influence and persuasion.

You be super experienced in modern design tools and processes with skills in facilitation, research, interaction

design, and visual design and a strong understanding of user-centred design principles

We are looking for a product designer who makes design speak the same language as the business.
