We are currently seeking a Product Design Intern (remote) interested in an opportunity to work with a strong design team to practice design thinking. The Product Design Intern will be responsible for working with current designers and product managers to define an optimal user experience. They will play a necessary role in the design of our internal and external products.
The internship role can be remote (PST) and is expected to be part-time hours.

Responsibilities:
- Help the product design team turn ideas into elegant, intuitive solutions to solve complex problems
- Knowledge of multiple design disciplines including interaction design, visual design, and prototyping, as well as competency in research
- Translate existing legacy interfaces into elegant, modern experiences utilizing our Design System
- Analyze and identify gaps and inconsistencies in interaction patterns across multiple applications
- Represent the voice and interest of our end users by leveraging user profiles, task analyses, competitive analyses, and user testing
Qualifications:
- A senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in related field or recent graduate
- Outstanding portfolio with innovative and creative yet functional designs, as well as a clear attention to detail
- Desktop and mobile design experience
- Good eye for consistency and cohesiveness across multiple complex systems
- Proficient with design and prototyping software such as Sketch, InVision and Figma
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
- Some experience conducting user interviews and usability testing
- Naturally organized, able to work autonomously, with the ability to quickly re-prioritize projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $25.00 hourly.
The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
