We’re the Experience Design team at Wayfair, and we’re tackling exciting challenges that are reshaping how people discover, find, purchase, and have goods delivered to their homes. We’re a diverse team of world-class product designers who are hard at work transforming experiences for our customers.
We are looking for current students who are passionate about users and have a desire to deliver impactful user experiences through design. How can we leverage 3D models to enable our customers to imagine how furniture would fit in their space? How can we seamlessly connect them with gig economy assembly and installation pros to get that new chandelier installed before the next dinner party? About Wayfair’s Experience Design (XD) Community
Experience Design at Wayfair is a cross-disciplinary function including product design, user research, and content design. We create experiences for Wayfair’s customers, suppliers, and internal employees by partnering with product managers, engineers, and analysts to build and optimize the full customer experience. Product Designers are embedded members of our cross-functional atomic teams, working across our portfolio of brands, geographies, and platforms – web, native app, kiosk, point of sale, and more. The Wayfair experience supports our mission to be the destination for all things home, helping everyone, anywhere create their feeling of home.
About Wayfair's Internship Program
The summer internship program is a 10 week opportunity (June - August) located in Boston at our corporate headquarters. Interns join us in Boston from programs and universities across the country. Our internship experience is designed to give you a full insight experience as to what it’s like to work here as a full-time employee, therefore you will be given real project work focused on current business problems your team is trying to solve at Wayfair. We evaluate our interns’ performance at a full time employee level with the goal of extending offers at the end of the summer for interns to come back full time after graduation.
Wayfair’s In Office Expectations
An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy: All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely the other 1 day of the week.
