Part-time UI/UX Designer

Description

Savology is a venture-backed startup that is on a mission to improve the financial well-being of millions of American households by making financial planning and financial wellness more accessible than ever.

Role

Savology is looking for a designer to provide design work for a web application in a part-time, hourly capacity. The expected commitment would be 15-20 hours per week, but hours could be adjusted up or down depending on the needs of the company and the availability of the designer. This position is intended to be in-person with some hybrid flexibility, not 100% remote. This position could lead to full-time work in the future but doesn't necessarily have to do so.

The UI/UX Designer will work with engineering and product teams to come up with elegant and intuitive solutions to improve our application, implement new features, and improve our marketing materials. The primary responsibilities of the UI/UX Designer include:\

• Participate in two weekly collaboration meetings (virtual or in-person) to review designs, update designs, and receive new assignments
• Create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, mockups, and graphics that support or improve the user interface.
• Create and improve designs for marketing materials including presentations, icons, brochures, and brand assets.

Skills and Experience

The right fit for this role has a foundation of experience, education, and skillset to contribute to the team and product. The right candidate need not have formal experience in the workforce if still in school or coming right out of school, but still should have comparable experience to the following:

• 1+ years of experience or relevant education as a graphic designer, visual designer, or user interface designer
• Working proficiency in design software like Figma

Compensation

The UI/UX Designer will be paid a negotiated hourly rate of $17-$22 depending on skill & experience.
