Job Description
A Junior UX Designer will contribute by helping lead the design and development of Knowbl’s AI Platform. This includes aiding in user research, gathering user feedback, and incorporating findings into the design process to create optimal user experiences. This role collaborates with the Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to realize delightful AI-building experiences and end-user solutions. Knowbl's office is located in Northville MI, but this position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
A Junior UX designer at Knowbl:
- Possesses a basic understanding of user-centered design principles and is able to translate user needs into effective and engaging interfaces
- Visually communicates ideas and iterations with stakeholders through sketches, wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes
- Participates in user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand and empathize with user needs and preferences
- Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical individuals across all levels of the organization
Requirements
A Junior UX Designer at Knowbl should have:
- Conversational design experience (e.g. human-computer interactions degree or 1-2 years of conversational AI experience)
- Experience in running user studies, testing, validation, and feedback
- Experience working across teams to synthesize feedback and input
- Proficiency with at least one visual design tool and one wireframing tool
- Experience or willingness to learn design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software
Preferred Qualifications
A Junior UX Designer at Knowbl is preferred to have:
- Experience working in a startup environment or similar (e.g. innovation lab)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, Jira)
- Experience with SaaS platform UX/UI
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
