Job Description

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Graphic Designer to join our team, supporting the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). The main responsibility of this role is to create visual design, images, graphics, briefings, and animations, including typography, visual concepts, internet designs, interactive platforms, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets.
• Create compelling and effective designs, print, and digital media.
• Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape, and market trends.
• Communicate and coordinate with the staff, writer, and management to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong graphic design skills.
• Layout skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Analytical skills.
• Creativity and flexibility.
• Attention to detail.
• Deadline-oriented.

Eligibility:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Salary range: $60,000-$75,000.
