Title: Jr Global Digital Designer

Location: Hybrid, Boston MA

Duration: 6 Months

Our team is made up of four different functions that work together: Creative Operations, Digital Content, Digital Design and Digital Copy. Together, we strive to create content that exemplifies our Brand Mission, Values, and Purpose (aka, our MVP). We develop content and storytelling that supports our digital direct commerce & wholesale ecosystem. We’re talking everything from Converse.com, our B2B site, email campaigns, paid social, and much more. Specifically, your role will be focused in the digital design function. As a team, we move our business goals forward through compelling brand stories, seasonal commercial stories and custom “Converse By You” content across our digital channels—all over the world.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Junior Designer who has strong fundamental graphic design skills and passion for the Converse brand. Someone with knowledge of designing for the digital e-commerce space with an entrepreneurial mindset. Someone who is driven, thinks critically, is accountable, empathetic, resourceful, takes initiative and has strong interpersonal skills.

It is essential for this role to have positive relationships with the immediate functions on your wider team (Content, Copywriting, & Operations) as well as our cross-functional partners; primarily our Experience Strategy team, UX team, and Brand team.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON


  • Working under the direction of a Senior Designer, you will build inventive solutions in all aspects of our digital ecosystem, focusing on, but not limited to, converse.com experiences, converse.com emails and performance media (paid social/banners)—a mix of graphic/digital design & motion editing skills are required to fulfill these responsibilities
  • You will help execute, version and maintain the Converse graphic standards and creative direction in the Global e-commerce channels
  • You will work with Project Managers and Experience Strategists to comprehend briefs, and execute high-quality work while meeting deadlines
  • You will work with Global partners to deliver brand right digital assets for marketing campaigns and seasonal creative
  • You will have strong communication skills and be encouraged to clearly articulate your own ideas as well to the digital design team and senior leadership
  • Be willing to take risks to determine the balance between outstanding creative and relevant business needs
  • Opportunities to assist in the art direction and execution of converse.com site photography, email and banner creative
  • Ability to comprehend guidelines, campaigns, brand and category assets and produce effective brand communication for retail and brand


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Converse Junior Global Digital Designer, you will work with our team of Designers, Copywriters, Operations mangers, UX, and Experience Strategists. You will partner closely with teams across the Digital Organization, Brand Management, and Geography teams, to deliver creative experiences that supports digital business goals. This role reports to a Senior Manager, Global Digital Design.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in digital design for large retail e-commerce or key digital agency experience specific to the streetwear footwear/apparel industry.
  • Knowledge and intermediate skills with Figma or Sketch and Adobe Suite
  • Connection to streetwear culture and trend
  • Animation, video editing, photo retouching—Skills in Abode After Effects
  • Understanding of current digital design trends for e-commerce
  • Solid knowledge of digital commerce, user-experience, and social media platforms
  • Any other design experience is valued. Must show fully comprehensive portfolio.
  • Strong writing and communications experience
