Are you passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and crafting intuitive, beautiful interfaces? We're looking for a talented UI/UX intern to join our team at Waah Chao, Inc. This internship provides you with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of user interface and user experience design, and to make a meaningful impact on our product.
- We are looking for students who also have an interest in beauty, fashion, media, AI/AR tech.
- You can receive a letter of recommendation from our CEO and/or course credit (if applicable)
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, learning-focused, and organized.
- Must be working toward a degree
- Must be available 1-2 times a week for a video call check-in
Responsibilities
- Interaction and Component Design: As a UI/UX intern at Waah Chao, Inc., you will be responsible for designing user interactions and components that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams. Together, you will gather and analyze data, conduct research, understand user goals, and iterate on design solutions to enhance the overall user experience.
- User-Centric Approach: Develop a deep understanding of our users' domain, workflows, and challenges to effectively inform the design process and create user-centric solutions.
- Prototyping: Create both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, actively collaborating with team members to build innovative and user-friendly design concepts.
- Iterative Design: Continuously refine your designs based on feedback from peers, user research insights, usability testing results, analytics data, and other relevant sources to ensure the best user experience.
- Communication Skills: Present clear and persuasive rationales for your design decisions, ensuring that stakeholders understand the user-centric approach that underlies product choices.
- Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from fellow designers, researchers, and team collaborators to foster an environment of continuous improvement and excellence in design outcomes.
- Create engaging, sharable content such as social media posts, articles, videos, and e-blasts
- Conduct market research, interviews, focus groups
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree or coursework in a related field such as UI/UX design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
- Strong passion for user interface and user experience design with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Proficiency with design tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Knowledge of design principles, usability, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Portfolio or examples of design work to showcase your skills and creativity.
Duration:
- This internship position is for three months, and is an unpaid role.
