The HealthEquity Intern program aims to provide accomplished students the opportunity to develop their skills while supporting the Company’s strategic objectives. Candidates are able to gain real-world experience applying their classroom learnings in a dynamic business environment. They receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced people leader who directs their work and helps ensure their success. HealthEquity interns get the opportunity to sit down with HealthEquity leadership and guest speakers. This speaker series includes our CEO Jon Kessler, our Founder Steve Neeleman, and leaders with expertise in finance, wellbeing, DEI, and recruiting.

The User Experience Intern will be a key contributor within our user experience team as part of the product department. They will work on a variety of projects including coordinating user research calls as well as important analysis using affinities to capture member pain points. In addition to member research, they will contribute to the final online experience for both the HealthEquity mobile and web-based.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate with customer experience team to set up appointments for member research calls
  • Taking notes during member research calls
  • Time-stamping key moments in member research calls for review
  • Do affinities based on member research calls and collaborate with the UX team in creating reports summarizing findings
  • Communicate with product owners and product managers around findings
  • Web and Mobile application layout and design
  • Creating wireframes and mockups for product and development departments to consume
  • Assisting with user research: Conducting surveys, interviews, and usability tests to gather valuable insights into user preferences and behaviors.
  • Data analysis: Analyzing user data and feedback to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in the user experience.
  • Wireframing and prototyping: Collaborating with design teams to create wireframes and prototypes for user interfaces, contributing to the design process.
  • User interface testing: Participating in usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of designs and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation of design decisions, user flows, and research findings to facilitate communication within the team.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to contribute to the overall success of UX design projects.
  • Staying updated: Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX design to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.

What you will need to be successful

  • Pursuing degree in User Experience, Design, Psychology, or other related field
  • Ability to understand and analyze data, synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings
  • Excellent data visualization, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with Visio, Lucid Charts, Power Bi
  • Familiarity with eco systems- salesforce, voice channel - CISCO
  • Ability to manage multiple short-term projects without close supervision
  • Ability to stay focused while doing repetitious tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

**Our program begins May 13th, 2024 and runs through August 2nd, 2024.

Salary Range

$16.83 To $23.56 / hour

Benefits & Perks

This is a remote intern opportunity. The rate of pay is $20 per hour and is eligible to receive an internet stipend.
