Intern - UX Research, Enablement Ops

Overview:Avalara is seeking a highly motivated UX Research Intern to support our Enablement Operations team in the development of our enterprise employee learning management system. This is a summer internship opportunity for a 12-week program beginning early June and continuing through late August. The ideal candidate has completed their sophomore year of college and has experience or a strong interest in enterprise platforms and user experience research.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a platform audit to evaluate user experience and adherence to platform taxonomy, branding, content standards.
• Launch and manage employee LMS feedback survey to collect data on employee sentiment and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform content gap analysis to identify content development opportunities.
• Present recommendations for content and user experience improvements to enhance the LMS.
• Partner with stakeholder groups to deliver enhancements and ensure a successful launch.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least their sophomore year
• The skills and presence to effectively communicate with personnel and all levels of leadership. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to articulate ideas and proposals clearly to stakeholders
• Organized and Independent, self-directed and resourceful
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• On track to complete BS degree in Business, Information Systems, Education, Communication, or similar competency
• Aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Familiarity with learning management systems or other information management tools a plus.

Pay Ranges:

Colorado: $24.33 - $36.44 [Hourly]

Washington: $24.33 - $36.44 [Hourly]

California: $24.33 - $36.44 [Hourly]

NYC: $24.33 - $36.44 [Hourly]
