Meet the Dexcom Summer Internship Program:

Looking to spend your summer working with innovative technology and changing lives for patients with diabetes? Dexcom’s U.S. 10-week internship program provides an experience driven program aimed at developing the next generation of talent. Our hybrid and remote work model ensure that we can invite a diverse and talented intern class from across the country. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Dexcom interns have earned the nickname of “Game Changers” based on their ability to leave a lasting impact on our organization. We are excited to welcome our next class of Game Changers for summer 2024!

Internship Department Details:

  • Team Highlights: We are looking for highly motivated students who are curious and ready to gain skills in design toolset and trends.

Where you come in:

  • You will work with project leads to understand scope of projects and task priorities for multiple projects at the same time.
  • Exhibit understanding of good practices in UX, UI both in discussion and practice.
  • Create process flows, interaction flows, wireframes, and behavior specifications.
  • Quickly and efficiently create and update prototypes with advanced features (logic and variables).
  • Work with project leads to understand scope of projects and task priorities for multiple projects at the same time.
  • Have working knowledge of mobile and web design standards, usability heuristics, and platform guidelines (ex: Google Material and iOS Human Interface Guidelines) in order to guide and defend designs.

  • You are excited to learn. Up-to-date knowledge of design toolset and trends. Interest in new technology and software for improved design efficiency and quality.
  • Advanced critical thinking. Willingness to ask, “Why are we doing this?” and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Excited about modern design and understanding the challenges of building new experiences.
  • Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines set by project leads.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Interest in health tech or consumer products experience.
  • Curiosity about designing for accessibility.
  • Studying of research methodologies.
  • Portfolio shows both school and personal projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience and a High school diploma/certificate or equivalent.
  • Must be a current bachelor's degree student graduating December 2024 or after.

Non-Exempt Salary Details:
The hourly salary range for this role is $20.00 to $23.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
