Intern, Content Design

Position Overview 

The Autodesk platform team designs the ecosystem of APIs, services, and infrastructure that our customers and developers use to extend the capabilities of our design and make software. As a content design intern, you’ll craft the content experience across the Autodesk platform products through developer documentation, unified taxonomy, and cohesive storytelling to weave together the experiences across the platform. You’ll collaborate with other experience and content designers, architects, product managers, engineers, and teams who are passionate about bringing exceptional experiences to the fields of architecture, construction, manufacturing, and film and visual effects. 

Responsibilities  

• Learn about writing for software products
• Publish documentation and build taxonomies to keep terminology aligned across the company and industries, and improve wayfinding and discoverability of our products  
• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to understand, audit, and implement content recommendations
• Uncover mental models and interoperability with other Autodesk products and visual design directions
• Practice product discovery thinking to help shape the problem to be solved  

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, HCI or related field
• Familiarity working with HTML or markdown

About the US Intern Program

The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

• $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
• $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
• $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
