POSITION: Graphic and Digital Designer
LOCATIONS: 475 Vine Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 and Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the development of video production, e-learning modules, and other advanced technology to fulfill educational projects for the Center for Experiential and Applied Learning (CEAL) and other support service areas within Wake Forest School of Medicine to complete design projects. Prepares final artwork/videos for uploading to learning management system, the web, mobile media, social channels or print production, including photography retouching using computer layout, illustration and pre-press software, skilled HTML programming and digital archiving. Reviews and confirms project requirements, prepares work and tests functionality, makes adjustments and changes, obtains approvals and archives finished files. Ensures that production meets specifications.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art or related field plus 6 months related experience as a Strategic Communications, Marketing Analyst or related occupation. Experience is required and must include: Edits images and videos using innovative graphic and digital techniques; Performs social media research and data analysis to create layouts and campaigns that convey intended message; Publishes designs on multiple social channels and platforms for targeting desired audiences; Utilizes Adobe Creative Suite software, Hootsuite social media software, Java and Python programming software, Qualtrics survey software, Wix and WordPress web software, Microsoft Office software on Mac OSX and/or Windows platforms; Applies advanced design skills in creating illustrations, retouching photos, manipulating, cropping, and sizing images; Conceives art to deliver intended communication utilizing typestyles and type design for digital and print specifications. Work 60% Office, 40% work from home.
