Job Description
The Graphic Designer reports directly to the Art Director of our red vertical and is responsible for the creative design and branding for the Toronto Raptors, Raptors 905 and Toronto FC. As the Graphic Designer, you are responsible for developing innovative design and conceptual thinking that elevates and differentiates our brands and those of our partners. This is more than creating good looks, this is a commitment to build new experiences and create interactions with our fan-base through storytelling.

You will have the opportunity to flex your creative muscles with an award-winning design team and evolve our existing brands to shape sports culture.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling designs which are on brand with limited supervision from concept to final deliverable.
  • Take ownership of projects and multi-task projects with tight timelines.
  • Attend briefings, brainstorms, production meetings and presentations.
  • Present creative concepts to the art director and creative director.
  • Ability to think laterally across all elements of the digital experience—brand, marketing/experiential, and product/services.
  • Prepare files for prepress.

Qualifications

  • Well developed portfolio - proven professional experience and demonstrated originality, independence and a multi-disciplinary approach in your work.
  • Outstanding design and layout skills.
  • Graduate of an accredited Graphic Design program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Mac OSX, Adobe CS, Keynote, and Figma or Sketch.
  • Self-starter & problem solver with strong time management, verbal & presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with others while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Have an awareness of current design trends and excellent knowledge of typography.
  • Experience with pre-press production techniques & printing processes.
  • Exposure to UI/UX and motion graphics is an asset.
