Transfr provides engaging, hands-on training in a way that online lectures cannot. We create a better way to train young adults for the skills they need to succeed on the job. We focus on developing a pipeline of talent for jobs that are going unfilled, significantly reducing cost and risk.

We produce job-training simulations in virtual reality designed by each industry that teaches novices in the same manner that experts master their crafts - through trial and error. Data-driven simulations work like virtual coaches, adapting to every person’s pace and skills while responding to their mistakes. Our immersive Experience Training method helps trainees build confidence in their knowledge, skills and abilities.

Job Summary:

Transfr is looking for a qualified Graphic Designer to join our Creative Team to help produce communications and sales materials highlighting our mission first, then product across education, government and industry spaces. Reporting to the Art Director, this role will be responsible for a variety of marketing, product, and internal design efforts, developing creative presentation strategies and materials, and maintaining the most current and innovative design standards.

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with receiving constructive feedback and demonstrate an ability to take direction on the development of materials. A strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail, as well as an excellent eye for design are the top skills for success in this role.

This position can be remote or located in our headquarters in NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Create visual design elements in support of our Marketing, Sales and Customer Success initiatives
  • Design a variety of print and digital marketing materials

  • A strong creative track record of delivering effective and outstanding work with a background in Graphic Design
  • Design materials for conferences, events and training
  • Creative ideation for new ways to visualize content
  • A hands-on approach to doing the work - you know how to do it yourself, even the bits that are not glamorous but need to get done - when you work with others, you know what it takes and how to help

Qualifications:

  • Higher education degree or equivalent with a focus in graphic design
  • 1-3 years graphic design experience (Tech and or Education experience preferred)
  • Portfolio that demonstrates a variety of design projects for business-level audiences
  • Expertise in design software programs, particularly the Adobe Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience or expertise in the complete Google Suite, particularly Google Slides
  • Understanding of social media platforms and associated design styles
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, share ideas and develop effective materials
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes
  • Ability to work within the Marketing team, as well as interdepartmentally, while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Experience in digital design, web, UI/UX and/or animation is a bonus
  • Tech Start Up experience is preferred but not required

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $60K - $70K, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary this role will be eligible for additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
