Role Summary

  • Responsibilities: You will be involved in all stages of a wide range of creative projects for our clients within the healthcare sector, from the initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity
  • Salary: $47,000 to $50,000 per annum, depending on your previous experience

About The Role


As a Graphic Designer in our Creative team, you will be involved in a wide range of creative projects for our clients within the healthcare sector. This includes the development of materials for scientific publications, conferences, and communications. Depending on your skillset, you may also be involved in digital projects such as the creation of interactive material for exhibitions, animations, and photography/video editing.


Where possible, you will be involved in all stages of the project from the initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. This will involve collaborating with designers, project managers and clients at the outset of projects to determine the scope and purpose. You will then produce materials to high standards of clarity, presentation, and innovation, providing technical insight and guidance where required. Finally, you will ensure that materials are delivered in a timely manner, and on budget, with a key focus on the high quality and professional appearance of all deliverables.


At Costello Medical, our in-house Creative team are passionate about data visualization and optimizing the way scientific content is communicated. We are also committed to supporting projects where we believe our skills can make a meaningful difference to healthcare. Requirements


About You


We are looking for proactive candidates who will contribute innovative ideas for the development of our design service offerings. You will have a great understanding of aesthetics and a meticulous attention to detail. You will also take pride in delivering an excellent service internally to colleagues and externally to clients, and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.


This role requires you to have a problem-solving mindset, strong design skills, and excellent customer service. Exceptional organization and self-motivation, alongside an eagerness to work both independently and collaboratively to find solutions, are a must. You will work alongside experienced colleagues who provide one-to-one training on the technical aspects of the role as well as project management and effective client communication. An interest in applying design to the healthcare industry would be an advantage.


Essential requirements for the role are:


  • A degree in a design-related field (minimum GPA 3.3)
  • Excellent technical skills in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, an excellent level of productivity, and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail


Desired requirements for the role are:


  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design

The Recruitment Process


Our recruitment process includes a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team, followed by an assessment for you to complete in your own time. If successful, you will be invited to an interview, which includes a portfolio review, with senior members of our Creative team. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 2 to 4 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.


We are currently recruiting for start dates throughout 2023, including August and September, and you will be asked to state your availability on your application form.
