Job description
Etho Studio is looking for a graphic designer. Our ideal candidate loves efficiency, has great communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and wants to grow and excel in the field of graphic design. Here’s a bit more about the role:
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Work with technical documents such as signage, wayfinding, and floorplan projects
- Update and edit design files as per client feedback
- Communicate with studio clients
- Keep organized while juggling multiple projects
- Manage project timelines and stay on top of deadlines
- Stay aware of project time budgets and track time using Toggl
- Coordinate via Slack and Google Meet with other graphic designers
- Perform project quality assurance checks with high attention to detail
- Execute production design tasks quickly and thoughtfully
- Develop pertinent and distinctive brand visual languages with the help of other designers
- Wireframe websites and develop prototypes for client review
Soft Skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work confidently under pressure
- Highly motivated and driven to excel and advance in the field of graphic design
- Strong interpersonal skills with a history of great team or client relationships
- Deadline-driven with strong time-management skills
- Respectful, responsible and responsive
- Has an optimistic, proactive, ‘can-learn’ ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize/delegate different tasks
- Highly detailed-oriented with a commitment to quality
Hard Skills
- Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and photoshop (Figma a plus)
- Uses basic program functions such as well organized paragraph styles, character styles, and grids
- Knows and is committed to learning techniques that improves efficiency of workflow
Requirements
- 2 years + experience preferred, but recent graduates welcome to apply
- Bachelor of communication design desired, but graduates of 2+ year diploma programs welcome to apply.
- BC resident (slight preference for Vancouver-based candidates, but applicants can live anywhere in BC)
