What You'll Do

‍

We're bringing design to the front line of business challenges and creating work that solves problems in novel, feasible, and desirable ways. We are looking for someone passionate about supporting the research and/or design of digital products, a curious individual who is passionate about advocating for user needs, and thinks in terms of design systems.

Designers at BCG are:

• Flexible and user-focused. They have the ability to design in multiple mediums and levels of interactivity, all while employing appropriate human-centered design methods.
• Visual exceptional. They are highly skilled in creating and critiquing, because they believe that emotion and presentation matter equally as much as usability.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

‍

You're good at:

• Supporting diverse sets of clients across domains and industries
• Designing and prototyping digital products—websites, apps, and beyond—at all levels of fidelity
• Collaborating with researchers, engineers, business consultants, and other designers to create world-class work
• Supporting the facilitation of workshops with diverse stakeholders, from client teams to community partners, to collaboratively explore domains and challenges, synthesize data, generate concepts, and present work.
• Participating in user research, communicating findings, translating insights into great new experiences
• Envisioning new, novel experiences beyond what is expected—pushing the envelope beyond screens towards the edge of interaction and technology
• Broadening your skill set beyond your core abilities—which might include project management, client relationship management, and/or technological skill development

Your Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Masters in design, interaction design, design planning, human-computer interaction, or other relevant field
• Graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
• An outstanding portfolio of work demonstrating strong human-centered design capabilities across a diverse range of projects.
• Knowledge with at least 2 of the following tools or technologies:

• Sketch
• Figma
• Dovetail
• HTML & CSS
• InDesign
• AfterEffects

• Additional consideration for candidates with the following skills:

• Facilitation
• Project management
• Animation
• Illustration
• Print design
• Branding & identity

Please note: Our internship program operates in a 'hub' model to create BCG X cohorts in our New York City, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles/Manhattan Beach offices. If you receive a full time offer, you can transfer to a different BCG X Office as long as it makes sense for chapter and business needs.

The first-year base compensation for this role is $136,000 USD.
