Who You Are


This position is a paid INTERNSHIP for a “local-to-Pittsburgh” college student (December 2024 or May 2025 graduation date) demanding 16-20 hours a week. We would like this person to start in January 2024 and stay on through the Spring semester 2024, Summer 2024 and the Fall semester 2024. We have an office in Lawrenceville and like the team to meet on Thursdays in person at the office. US Citizenship is required for this role.


As a HIKE2 Design Intern, you will work with our teams to bring ideas to life that help drive the HIKE2 brand story and business goals. You will be responsible for creating a variety of compelling visual communications that align with our brand personality and connect with our clients and communities.

Your design internship includes:

  • Contributing to designs across various marketing channels while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Working on teams to ensure brand and visual coherence of customers' end-to-end experiences
  • Creating print and digital materials such as presentations, video components, and marketing collateral
  • Editing video and social content

Job requirements


  • Ability to communicate ideas through visual storytelling
  • Skills in visual design/graphic design in a variety of formats
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; Premiere Pro is a plus
  • Portfolio of work showcasing a variety of creative styles and methodologies
  • Self-motivated to work independently and in small teams
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • A ‘here to help’ attitude, who fundamentally believes that we’re better together
  • A current student in the areas of graphic design, visual design, UX/UI design or a related field
