Position Summary
As a Product Design Intern, you will collaborate with the design, product, and engineering teams to design an end-to-end product feature for Vendia Share.
We are looking for a designer who loves taking big, complex ideas and turning them into simple, streamlined, and beautiful experiences that anyone can understand. Our personas range from super-technical developers to non-technical business decision-makers.
This internship is anticipated 40 hours per week for 12 weeks, starting between May and July of 2023.
Qualifications
- Working toward a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human Centered Design, Psychology, or equivalent discipline
- Previous experience working on design projects or in a design internship
- Experience working both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with the end-to-end UX design process
- Experience working with various design tools such as Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, or something similar
- Examples demonstrating past work such as project presentations, reports, or a portfolio of work
Responsibilities
- Use business requirements, stakeholder interviews, and research data to develop feature use cases and user flows
- Work with stakeholders to plan project deliverables
- Design thoughtful wireframes depicting the flow of the interface, and create low-fidelity prototypes using Figma
- Test low-fidelity prototypes with stakeholders and internal members of the team
- Design high-fidelity designs and prototype the full experience
- Present designs to stakeholders and leadership at various stages of the process
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to take complex, technical concepts and create straightforward design solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate designs to stakeholders and leadership
- Ability to independently drive reviews of design work
- Knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices
- Knowledge of Figma and Figma’s Auto Layout functionality
Pay
- This is a temporary, hourly internship. The pay for this position ranges from $20 to $30 per hour depending on experience
