Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Design Intern to join our dynamic design team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing projects for various media including print, digital (email, web), and other platforms. You will work closely with our Art Director assisting them in executing design concepts, contributing to the development of visual assets, and collaborating with other team members.

  • July to December 2023

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Art Director to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of design concepts for print materials, digital assets (email, web), and other media.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
  • Conduct research and gather inspiration to stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices.
  • Assist in preparing design files for production, including prepress checks and file optimization.
  • Support the design team in organizing and maintaining a digital asset library.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Actively seek feedback and apply it to improve design skills and techniques.
  • Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and Figma.
  • Demonstrated understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous design work and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design concepts and ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A passion for design and a desire to continuously learn and grow as a designer.

$20 - $25 an hour
