Location: Tororno, ON - Hybrid

Contract Length: 12 Months

We are looking for a Content Designer.

We at Raise are hiring a Content Designer for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

What will you do? (there is lots more on this…in a nutshell…)

The Content Designer will be responsible for:

  • Creating content for digital products as needed by their squad to support the delivery of complex client experiences – including but not limited to: accessibility content, form labeling, conversational text, explanatory text, hidden or alternative text, metadata, go-to-market content.
  • Planning and estimating content design activities, in collaboration with their design team and squad partners where needed, potentially across multiple work streams.
  • Managing lifecycle for all content deliverables, including governance, change management and sharing with partners (i.e. stakeholder review, translation, legal approvals, publishing, version control, etc.).
  • Liaising with internal Legal, Compliance and Regulatory teams to ensure all content satisfies governance requirements while still meeting clients’ needs.
  • Managing end-to-end content translation process with external partners.
  • Ensuring all content follows the principles and requirements of Accessibility and Inclusive Design, including a methodical application of metadata and hidden text to support assistive technologies.
  • Participating in design critiques and evaluating design proposals for inclusivity
  • Facilitating design workshops and ideation sessions, and evaluating outcomes against business goals and objectives.
  • Participating in design research planning, scoping and implementation – including co-creation of test scripts and prototypes, session facilitation, synthesis and analysis of results, etc.
  • Attending one-on-one, team and group meetings (e.g. manager touch points, Design Events, Chapter meetings).

Must have skills:

  • Ability to actively participate in product design discussions and contribute to screen design decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other product designers, providing insights and feedback on screen designs.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira is important.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking in developing new products from inception, including content strategy, end-to-end copy flow, and handling text within form fields, is required.

Nice to have skills:

  • Finance background is nice to have.
