NetEase Games is looking for a Consumer Insights Researcher to join our team. Our goal is to serve on the front-lines as the primary advocates for our players. We can do this because not only do we constantly strive to better understand our players and their motivations, but we are also impassioned gamers ourselves.
What will you be doing?
- You will provide insight into our games and our players to help our studio make more informed decisions
- You will work with various stakeholders and fellow researchers to define the problem spaces that will inform the development of research
- You will design research, ensuring a perfect match between methodology and the question that is being asked
- You will implement research, whether it be a lab playtest, analysis of player behavior data or field interviews (and many more)
- You will share the results of your research with teams across the entire studio
- You will work with fellow researchers and various stakeholders to define data-informed product improvement recommendations
Who are you?
- You have a background in UX or human-subject research such as Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Informatics, Cognitive Science, Psychology, etc.
- 1-3 years proven experience researching player behavior in game industry.
- You know which research methods are best utilized for each given research problem that you face. You have proven experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Comfort with communication in-person, via email and by phone and in group settings both formal and informal
- A demonstrated passion for games (familiarity with mobile games preferred)
