The Digital Workplace (DW) organization within American Express is responsible for making Amex one of the world’s best companies for colleagues to work for via seamless, integrated, and personalized technology experiences for all colleagues with differing needs and roles. The team supports a portfolio of communications, collaboration, and productivity tools on desktop and mobile in American Express’s offices around the world, while mobile, and in colleagues’ home environments.

The Associate UX Designer serves as a key member of the Digital Workplace Content Management / Development Platform Team and will focus on enhancing the customer experience for end users of Power BI/Power Apps..

Seeking candidate with knowledge and experience with Power BI/Power Apps.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates user-centered experiences and interfaces for products and solutions which improving end-to-end user journeys
  • Develops the overall design and specifications for creating and enhancing the experience and functionality of user interfaces for company products
  • Uses design tools to create storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture diagrams and user journey maps for demonstrations and user testing
  • Produces high-fidelity designs for implementation by development teams
  • Analyze user research, business insights and other data to continuously improve customer experiences
  • Reviews proposed product changes or enhancements for compliance and alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and suggests improvements
  • Creates and maintains UI/UX resources such as content templates, samples and guidelines, in order to streamline the design process for designers and developers

Education:  

  • Degree in computer Science, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent working experience Knowledge/Skills

Experience:

  • Experience in design for Power BI/Power Apps
  • Knowledge of M365 suite of products
  • 3+ years UX / Interaction experience designing consumer facing applications, websites and mobile experiences
  • Strong skills in ideation, sketching, concepting, brainstorming, and UX asset production
  • Experience with design tools, most notably OmniGraffle, Sketch, Ilustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Invision and/or other UX & prototyping software
  • Ability to simplify and turn complex interactions into intuitive user experiences
  • Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in agile product development
  • Skills in ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows and information architecture
  • Ability to create both high and low fidelity clickable prototypes
  • Strong relationship management, verbal & written interpersonal skills
  • Clear and confident communicator with an affinity for visual storytelling

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
