Omnicell is the world leader in pharmacy robotics, and we’re dedicated to becoming doctors’ and nurses’ most trusted partner. We build hardware and software to help hospitals manage the flow of medications through their organization, from the loading dock to the nurse’s glove, and we apply clinical expertise, advanced machine learning, and frictionless user-focused workflows to improve safety, cost, efficiency, and patient outcomes. This is a remote position, the selected individual can be based anywhere within the United States.

As a junior member of the team, you will work closely with more senior product designers to solve complex problems and get the mentorship needed to grow in our field.

Responsibilities:

  • Support other UX designers on 1-2 cross-functional scrum teams (product, engineering, QA, clinical specialists) to define and create products for nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, administrators, and executives.
  • Model user flows, journey maps, and other artifacts that help clarify the problem and solution.
  • Build wireframes and prototypes to demonstrate & test designs.
  • Use the design system to mockup visual designs.
  • Apply your skills to iteratively discover and refine solutions to key problems based on balancing user needs and business goals.
  • Design safe, scalable, clear, and efficient product experiences for desktop and mobile.
  • Seek out and incorporate feedback from users and cross-functional team members.
  • Develop an understanding of our users and appropriately incorporate their input into your designs.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic skills in interaction design and visual design.
  • Can communicate in a clear and professional manner with both coworkers and customers.
  • Can articulate design decisions.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Able to seek out help when stuck.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks & priorities.
  • Interest in developing a deep understanding of healthcare and medication management.
  • Actively seeks feedback and tries new approaches.
  • Be prepared to present a portfolio of work demonstrating strong user focus, interaction design and visual design.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years’ experience in software UX, interaction design, or product design experience or relevant training

Work Conditions:

  • This position is 100% remote enabled from any US location
  • This position requires up to 10% US based domestic travel
