Associate Product Designer

Our client, a well-known entertainment company, is looking for an Associate Product Designer to join their team. We are seeking an Associate Product Designer who's excited to design a world-class streaming experience, with a specific focus on content discovery and user-driven personalization. Our Product Designers design across over 20 different supported experiences, from connected TVs, to mobile apps to web. This is a full-time contract position for 6 months with potential extension. This position is open to remote.

• Pay: Up to $40/hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:

• Create designs that help improve content discovery and expand user-driven controls for increased personalization.
• Research the competitive landscape, create user flows and work towards product designs that take into consideration evolving functionality, technological innovation and their effects on the product and company revenue
• Take direction from design leads as requirements are forming. Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem platforms and devices
• Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our design systems and interactions

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of product design experience
• A strong UX and visual design sense, with an eye for simple, intuitive interfaces.
• Ability to rapidly concept, ideate and execute multiple concepts.
• Must have a portfolio that illustrates an understanding of functionality paired with a modern visual design sensibility.
• Understanding of foundational design principles: grids, font and color styles, layout, responsiveness, etc.
• General platform knowledge of App / OTT and understanding of Responsiveness Web.
