Our Marketing and Loyalty team is the strategic force behind United’s industry-leading brand and experience, supporting revenue growth by turning customers into lifelong United flyers. Our marketing communications, market research and brand teams drive travelers’ familiarity and engagement with the United brand. Our product, design and service teams bring the signature United brand to life in our clubs and onboard our aircraft, ensuring a seamless, premier experience. And when customers choose United again and again, that’s because the loyalty team has been hard at work crafting an award-winning program. Our loyalty team manages United MileagePlus®, building travel and lifestyle partnerships that customers can engage with every day, and works with our Star Alliance partners to ensure United can take you anywhere you want to go.

Key Responsibilities:

This role supports compelling and engaging branded design solutions that elevate the customer experience.

At the core, this role provides support in the areas of integrated marketing designs via email, digital media, paid media, signage, and print collateral. Also supports internal design needs across the organization (e.g. onboard product, livery & airport maps, regulatory, sales, and more.)

  • Develop and execute a variety of content including email, digital media, signage, print collateral, video & animation, digital ads, and more
  • Prepare, package, and deliver final optimized assets and spec files for various mediums
  • Produce brand identity elements such as logos, wordmarks, icons & illustrations
  • Collaborate with teams in marketing, editorial, loyalty, brand identity, product, digital personalization, user experience, and other business stakeholders to produce consistent creative across multiple marketing channels
  • Document best practices, processes, and innovations to improve development time
  • Stay current on the latest design software, and usability standards

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of relevant work experience with GED in Marketing, Creative, or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of experience working as a digital artist and/or visual designer in an agency or equivalent environment through work or education
  • Experience designing for emails and digital channels
  • Proficiency with design software, e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to deliver a polished product under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Must demonstrate strong design style and understand the best design practices across various mediums and platforms
  • Excellent photo selection skills
  • Basic Sketch knowledge
  • Basic motion design skills and video editing, specifically using After Effects
  • Positive outlook and can-do attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Good communicator with ability to design and articulate your concepts in a clear, concise manner Ability to participate in creative brief, design reviews, and design planning sessions
