‍Responsibilities‍

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage software and contracts for the Experience Design team
• Establishes and maintains relationships with 3rd party vendors and representatives
• Creates and maintains Mayo-specific best practices for team tools
• Manages project tracking and status reporting
• Organizes trainings, webinars, and info sessions
• Proposes and supports activities to promote team interaction, health, and belonging
• Analyze, plan and sequence the interactions that users have with Mayo Clinic tools and applications.
• Work with research insights in order to hear the needs of our patients and physicians and respond with designs that delivers against our key criteria for good design at Mayo Clinic: easy, clear, useful and pleasing.
• Analyze research findings and recommendations to plan and deliver Use Cases, User Journeys, User Flow Diagrams, Navigation Structures and Information Architecture in order to optimize the User Experience of our digital properties.
• In partnership with Product and Engineering team, shape products that advocate for user needs, delivers on business requirements, and contributes to a best-in-class seamless user experience throughout product discovery and development.
• Design for browsers, responsive web, native apps, smart watches, kiosks, web-connected health monitoring devices and other consumer and health interfaces and systems.
• Create and deliver Storyboards, Wireframes, Interface Modules and Pages, Prototypes and Design Specifications.
• Evaluate designs according to project specific and enterprise standard metrics.
• Understand and design to meet WCAG 2.0 AA Accessibility Standard.
• Collaborate with the Experience Design team to maintain, grow, implement and refine Mayo Clinic's Design System.

100% remote role, the employee must live within the U.S.

‍Qualifications‍

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• 1-5 years' experience in professional and/or educational experience doing end-to-end UX or interaction design in an agency or software setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Design, User Experience, Interactive Design, Design and Technology, Graphic Design, Media Arts or related field preferred.
• A compelling portfolio of UX design work that showcases your problem framing, research, problem solving, visualization skills, and overall understanding of the Human Centered Design (HCD) process.
• Working knowledge of current User Experience methodologies, including an understanding of the methods of other Experience Design areas, including Research and Front-End Development.
• Excellent visual communication skills, and refined ability to clarify complex problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including confident presentation skills and the ability to persuasively articulate design rationale to peers and leaders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of design tools and platforms (such as Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, Mural, Invision etc.)
• Working knowledge or experience working in or of Scrum Agile methodology.
• Experience and training in Personal Identification Information (PII) or Personal Health Information (PHI) preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative/agile design process.
• A working style that demonstrates respect, initiative, ownership, transparency, and accountability.
