We’re looking for curious, collaborative, and creative students to join our Summer Product Design Internship based in our San Francisco headquarters. Our 12-week internship program focuses on bringing students currently studying at a college or university into our Engineering, Data Science, and Design teams to develop and work on complex and challenging problems. During this internship, you will work directly with Design mentors, Engineering, User Research, Product Management, Data Science, and the rest of our amazing Design crew to ship experiences that make building products more efficient for teams at Asana.You will play a key role in a small, cross-functional team owning the design system, working through the entire design and development process to simplify, streamline, and scale our efforts while empowering the Design team to make Asana even more useful for millions.About The Design Team

What You’ll Achieve

  • Collaborate with our experienced designers to discover problems and transform them into intuitive, human-centered solutions
  • Be actively involved in the end-to-end design process by contributing, updating, and improving web components in Figma and code.
  • Contribute to everything from the broadest strategic discussions to the specifics of a component interaction
  • Design and iterate multiple ideas quickly to validate design systems guidance
  • Partner with cross functional partners to identify problems, set strategy, establish vision, ship projects, and gather insights
  • Experience career growth and personal development with world-class mentorship and development programs

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in a design-related field
  • Your anticipated graduation date is between December 2023 and July 2024
  • Inspiring online portfolio demonstrating a human-centered approach to designing products, and showcasing a background in UX, interaction, and visual design
  • Previous experience showcasing systems thinking, UI/visual design skills, or a strong sense of craft with a focus on design patterns and scalable systems is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Passion for creating a high-quality user experience, down to those little details that matter
  • Excited to be a part of an inclusive culture where everyone brings their whole selves to work

What We’ll Offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.For this role, the estimated pay rate is $57.50/ hour. The actual hourly rate will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed pay rate above is a guideline, and the pay rate for this role may be modified.
