2024 Nespresso UX Research Internship

What to expect for the 2024 Nespresso UX Research Internship:

Nespresso offers a 10-week paid internship in the Nespresso Marketing Organization. The UX Research internship is an introduction to a career in marketing and design and the partnerships with our major customer teams. Interns will develop their knowledge and understanding of the Nespresso USA website and app, usage trends, different UX research artifacts and research methods, and inspire change for real processes and business needs. The experience requires collaboration with team members from across business divisions, networking with senior management, real users and participation in social engagements with interns from other programs.

During the internship, you will focus on a project that requires a new perspective to deliver results against our immediate and future business needs. Additional social activities are planned to provide insights into day-to-day life at Nespresso. These findings will culminate with a presentation to senior leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist UX Designer small qualitative research projects
  • Recruit users for research studies, manage the participant panel, write research scripts, take notes during sessions, analyze data from research studies, build research reports as needed, etc
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to help define research questions and goals, determine appropriate methods, and help communicate results
  • Assist with UX workshops with cross-functional teams
  • Help to adapt and innovate research practices/processes
  • Identify, track, and share overarching UX trends in the industry
  • Develop artifacts like screeners, scripts, and reports/presentations

2024 Nespresso UX Research Locations:

  • This internship is available only in NYC  

Education Requirements:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales r other related field is required  
  • Graphic design or in a parallel field such as market research, academic research, UX design, etc.
  • Degree completed by June 2025 or June 2026
  • Preferred Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Application Criteria:

  • Basic Understanding of common UX research practices (usability testing, user interviews, card sorting exercises)
  • Needs to be comfortable with interviewing English-speaking users virtually and in-person.
  • Great communication skills to interact with users and present results to stakeholders
  • Critical thinking to draw conclusions and present outcomes in a compelling way
  • Basic understanding of UX and service experience design and principles

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience using any of the following tools:  
  • Outlook suite
  • Figma/Figjam/Mural
  • Usertesting.com
  • Zoom/meet/teams
  • Qualtrics

The approximate target compensation range for this role is $27. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
